Approaching from Traverse City

Travel to the upper part of Michigan's lower peninsula (the "Little Finger Position" of the "mitten") to Traverse City found on Grand Traverse West Bay.

Travel west on Rte 72 to Co. Rd 677 and turn right. Follow Co. Rd 677 (north) until it intersects with Co. Rd 616 (otherwise known as M-22) and turn left. You can not miss this intersection, as Co. Rd 677 runs perpendicular to Little Glen Lake. As you approach it you will see beautiful blue water. Turn left on M-22 (also known as W. Glenmere) and proceed to 7291 W. Glenmere. Geisler's "Little Glenford" will be on your left, the lake will be on your right. You will see the mail box marked "Geisler".

As an alternative, you may prefer to continue on Rte. 72 out of Traverse City until you come to the town of Empire. Turn right at the intersection of Rte. 72 and M-22 (at the Amoco Station). Continue on M-22 (do not turn where Rte 109 goes left to the Sleeping Bear Dunes) until you come to 7291 W. Glenmere. Remember, M-22 IS W. Glenmere. Approaching from Empire "Little Glenford" will be on your right and the lake on your left.

"Little Glenford" is approximately 4.5 miles from the town of Empire.

Approaching from Leland

Approaching from points north such as Leland, you will follow route M-22 through the town of Glen Arbor, and drive between Little and Big Glen lakes over the "Narrows Bridge" to the intersection of Co. Rd 616, Co. Rd 677 and M-22 (W. Glenmere). The Glen Lake Dairy Bar will be on the corner. Follow M-22 to the right until you come to 7291 W. Glenmere, "Little Glenford". It will be on your left, Little Glen Lake will be on your right. Again, the mail box bears the name "Geisler".

"Little Glenford" is approximately 3.0 miles from the town of Glen Arbor.

Our Favorite route from Ohio

• I-75 north

Take I-75 north, head toward Toledo
• US 23 north

Just south of Toledo, take US 23 north (left lane exit at the Mosque). Stay on US 23 north into Michigan until it rejoins I-75 at Flint (this by-passes the Detroit area).
• I-75 north (now in Michigan)

Follow I-75 from Flint to Bay City
• I-10 north-west

Take I-10 north-west (a clover leaf exit to the right). Just past Claire, I-10 will end.
• SR 115 north-west

Continue on 115 also heading north-west. Go through Cadillac, you are now 1 hour from Little Glenford.
• Co Rd 677 north

We exit 115 1/2 hour after Cadillac to the right (going north) on Weldon road which is just before the Crystal Mountain Ski Resort, this is County Rd 677. When this intersects SR 31, 677 actually jogs left to Honor, Mi. before going right to head north again.
• Valley Rd

Instead of turning left we cut straight across SR 31 to continue north on a road named Valley Rd, marked by a lattice sign for Shaker Furniture. This will turn into a dirt road for a short while and finally rejoin 677 with a jog left then a right hand turn onto 677.
• back Co Rd 677 north

Follow 677 again, it will cross M-72, until it dead ends into M-22 at Glen Lake.
• M-22 west W. Glenmere Rd

Take a left and we are 1/4 mile from this intersection on the left (mailbox on right with our name on it.)
